01 / Our purpose

A small notebook for a specific question

First Pitch is an English content prototype for Australian readers looking into Rays vs Guardians. It brings together a narrowly sourced matchup note, the unanswered local-time and viewing questions, and a practical way to verify those details.

The goal is to make the boundary between evidence and unknowns easy to see. A source can describe a game without establishing when another game starts or whether you can watch it from Australia. We keep those questions separate throughout the site.

This is a local experiment for human review. It is not a validated business or a live sports-information service. First Pitch is independent and is not affiliated with MLB, the teams or Sports Illustrated.

02 / Our approach

Descriptions you can trace

The site was prepared from a supplied research snapshot dated 14 October 2026. That snapshot contains two matched excerpts: an MLB ALCS opener headline and a Sports Illustrated description of Guardians game listings. Our source ledger records the exact quotes and supplied check times.

The broader findings in the brief are AI-generated research summaries. We use the quoted fragments to limit factual sports and resource claims, rather than presenting all those summaries as established findings. Fragment matching does not validate an entire page.

No external source checks or hands-on viewing tests were performed to create this prototype. We do not rate services, publish user testimonials or claim expert endorsement. Australian schedules, viewing eligibility, costs and device support remain unknown where the supplied evidence is silent.

The site does not assume proven demand or commercial value. Its usefulness and the case for expanding it would need separate human evaluation.

03 / How to use it

Read the note, then make the checks

  • Start with the matchup guide for the documented context and local-time status.
  • Use the Australia FAQ to understand the viewing questions left unanswered.
  • Follow the practical checklist when you have a schedule or candidate viewing route to verify.
  • Return to the source ledger to check the basis and date of a statement.

All articles are readable in static HTML. There is no account system, user submission form, live score feed, subscription or personalised recommendation engine. The notebook offers reading and source links.

04 / Human review

What a future edition would require

A future edition should add a game time only after a reviewer has established a complete source timestamp and checked the local conversion. A viewing option should be described only after its game-specific Australian access and conditions have been confirmed.

Corrections should revise the affected statement, cite the supporting source and show a new check date. Until such a review takes place, this edition retains the original snapshot's limitations. Read the update policy for the details.

First Pitch includes no advertising, affiliate tracking or sponsored placement. Its source selection is based on the supplied evidence, not a commercial arrangement.
